J9 Advisory is proud to announce the success of its recent £100K Challenge Charity Lunch, held at the prestigious Mosimann’s in London. Hosted by J9 Advisory’s Johnny Abraham, alongside special guest and past client Nigel Farage MP, the event was an afternoon filled with insightful discussions, laughter, and generous donations.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of guests, the event raised approximately £27,000, bringing the total funds raised through the J9 Charity Challenge to an impressive £130,000.

These additional funds raised will be donated to Candlelighters Trust to purchase vital monitoring equipment for all three of the Children and young people’s haematology and oncology wards at Leeds Children’s Hospital. Additionally, surplus donations will be directed to support Leeds Baby Bank, furthering the impact of the initiative.

Reflecting on the event, Johnny Abraham said: "We are truly grateful for the generosity and support of our guests and to Nigel for making this such a memorable and impactful afternoon, together with everyone that has supported our charity campaign. Seeing the money raised directly benefit poorly children is incredibly rewarding.

I’d also like to thank Chris Salt at Candlelighters Trust for their role in facilitating this project with Leeds Children’s Hospital, and Sarah Sugden from the Hospital Patient Monitoring team at Philips Electronics UK Ltd who has worked with us to secure favourable pricing for this equipment."

Nigel Farage MP commented “Both Johnny and I have both been hit with cancer, with Johnny

undergoing treatment at the time we worked closely together in 2023, so it was a pleasure to be

involved and to help raise additional funds for the charities being supported by the J9 Advisory £100k challenge”.

A spokesperson from Leeds Children’s Hospital commented “Thank you so much to J9 Advisory and their supporters for raising such a significant amount to support our haematology and oncology wards at Leeds Children's Hospital.

The purchase of the equipment will have a huge benefit for patients and staff. Equipment will support staff to continuously monitor patients even when not in the room with them, promoting patient safety as well as better sleep through fewer disturbances”.

Funds raised through the J9 Charity Challenge have already contributed to the Children's Heart

Surgery Fund, enabling the purchase of life-saving MRI monitoring equipment. This cutting-edge

technology is part of a ground breaking MRI process at Leeds Children’s Hospital, the only one of its kind in Europe. The innovation is transforming the care of new born babies with congenital heart disease, offering more precise and safer diagnostics to improve outcomes for some of the most vulnerable patients.

Having launched the campaign after Johnny’s recovery from Cancer of the Lymphoma, J9 Advisory remains committed to supporting important causes and looks forward to future fundraising efforts that make a tangible difference in the lives of children and families in need.
